Walking in from the narrow lanes of the medina, then through a magnificent wooden front door - you are suddenly confronted with an unbelievably beautiful restored interior courtyard of the Riad. It was breathtaking: to one side a raised, lush garden; in the centre a bubbling fountain, which was positioned directly underneath an open roof. On the evening of our arrival there was a gibbous moon winking in to add to the magic. Heavy carved cedar doors were converted into dining tables set around the fountain, where we took our morning or evening meals, with tasteful casual seating dotted in between. At either end of the courtyard were grand master bedroom suites, evoking how life used to be lived in another era. The 12 guest bedrooms were situated a floor above. Ours was off a roof terrace with bougainvillea gently nodding in the evening breeze. Perfectly appointed bedroom suite for our short stay. A pair of tall double windows opened out to the courtyard below as well as the skylight above. As the sun rose or set, the light would peeped through jewel-coloured stained glass pieces edging the entire coving of the courtyard, so colours danced between the walls as the sun moved across the heavens. We’d wake to the sound of songbirds heralding in each new day. It was just an incredibly beautiful Riad experience - graciously offered by the kindest, most accommodating staff who were always attentive to our every need or request. Outstanding.

What a lovely Riad with great staff. They took really good care of us. Naima makes great breakfast. The room was lovely and spacious and cleaned daily. Zackery stood by us and arranged everything for us. From guides, taxi, daytour to lovely harira soup in our room after a long day. The last day we got spoiled in de Riad with the spa. This was on the house. We felt very welcome and would definately recommend.
